
Rwanda tenders two transport PPPs
Rwanda Transport Development Agency has issued requests for qualification (RFQ) for two public-private partnership (PPP) projects to improve transportation on Lake Kivu, along the western coast of Rwanda.
The first tender invites companies to prequalify for a contract to equip, operate and maintain ports on Lake Kivu under a 20-year concession.
The operate, maintain and transfer contract will cover the Rubavu, Nkora, Karongi, and Rusizi ports.
The deadline for submitting RFQ proposals is 18 September 2023 at 17h00 local time (15h00 GMT).

The second tender invites companies to prequalify to develop and operate ferry services on Lake Kivu.
The contract will use the design, build, finance, operate and transfer model and the concession period is also for 20 years.
The ferries will be operated between the ports of Rubavu, Nkora, Karongi, and Rusizi.
The deadline for RFQ submissions is 25 August 2023 at 17h00 local time (15h00 GMT).
