Mozambique seeks consultants for water projects
Mozambique's Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources is inviting interest from consultants to supervise works to replace 223 dispersed fountains equipped with hand pumps in the provinces of Inhambane, Sofala, Tete, and Zambezia following damage caused by Cyclone Freddy earlier this year.
The project is supported by funding from the World Bank.
The assignment is expected to take four months, commencing in September 2023.
The first phase of work will involve the pre-inspection of the drilling sites and delivery of these sites to the contractor, and the second phase will involve supervision of the construction of boreholes, including the final verification of the sources in the guaranteed time for final delivery.
The work will be carried out in four lots:
- Lot 1 - Inhambane: Mabote (5), Massinga (5), Vilanculos (5), Govuro (5) and in Sofala: Nhamatanda (3), Marromeu (2), Maringue (2), Machanga (3), Buzi (2), Dondo (3), Beira (3) and Chemba (2)
