Kenya invites prequalification for ports PPP projects

Kenya Ports Authority is inviting firms to prequalify for the development and operation of port assets through 25-year public-private partnership arrangements.

The assets concerned are:

  • Lamu Container Terminal Berth 1-3
  • Lamu Special Economic Zone
  • Mombasa Port’s Berth 11-14
  • Mombasa Port Container Terminal 1.

Applicants must have at least 10 years of experience in container terminal operations and at least two successful container terminals directly operated as a concessionaire with a minimum annual throughput of 2 million TEUs.

Submissions should be made to the address below in person no later than 2 November 2023, 10h00 local time.
