
Kenya invites bids for an informal settlement improvement project
Kenya’s Nairobi City County Government is inviting bids without prequalification for an informal settlement improvement project.
The project involves constructing roads, footpaths, stormwater drainage, street lighting and sanitation works in the Embakasi Village, Kahawa Soweto, Kayole Soweto and Kambi Moto settlements.
The work is divided into two lots as follows:
- Lot 1: Construction of roads, footpaths, stormwater drainage, street lighting and sewer works in Embakasi Village, Kahawa Soweto and Kayole Soweto settlements
- Lot 2: Construction of footpaths, stormwater drainage, street lighting, and sewer works in Kambi Moto Settlement
The construction period for Lot 1 is 12 months, and six months for Lot 2.
The World Bank is funding the project.

Proposals must be physically delivered by 12h00 (East African Time) on 2 November 2023.
