Ethiopia seeks consultant for transmission project

Ethiopian Electric Power is requesting expressions of interest (EOIs) from national consultants to carry out an environmental and social impact assessment for a transmission project.

The studies are for the Injibara and Woliso 230kV, and Haromaya-Chelenko 132kV power transmission lines, which form component two of the Transmission Network Strengthening and Expansion Programme (PEIME-1).

The project is being supported with funding from the International Development Association.

Consultants may form joint ventures to enhance their qualifications.

EOIs should be submitted in English to the address below in person, by mail, or by e-mail no later than 14 August 2023, 16h00 local time (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia).

Interested consultants can obtain further information at the address below during office hours, between 08h30 and 17h00, Monday to Friday.

National consultants have also been invited to submit EOIs for a contract to prepare an environmental, social and resettlement assessment for the Power Sector Reform Investment and Modernization Program (PRIME-1). The deadline and submission details are the same.
