Consultants sought for water projects in Mozambique

Mozambique’s Ministry of Public Works, Housing, and Water Resources has invited interest from consultants to supervise water supply system replacement works in the provinces of Inhambane, Sofala, Tete, and Zambezia to repair damage caused by Cyclone Freddy earlier this year.

The project is supported with funding from the World Bank.

The assignment is expected to take eight months, commencing in September. The first phase of work will involve technical surveys, including assistance in the bidding process, and the second phase will be for the works supervision and inspection.

The replacement work will be carried out in four lots:
•    Lote 1- Inhambane
•    Lote 2 - Tete
•    Lote 3 - Sofala
•    Lote 4 - Zambezia.

Companies can submit interest for one or more lots. Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications.

Consultants should have at least 25 years of experience in civil engineering, specialising in construction works for water supply infrastructure and should have participated in at least 20 similar projects in developing countries, including Mozambique.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below in person or by email by 15 August 2023 at 15h00 CAT.
