Benin seeks consultants for electricity distribution projects

Benin's General Directorate of Energy is seeking to appoint consultants to provide control and supervision services for the construction and densification of electrical energy distribution networks in 12 departments of Benin.

The project to increase access to electricity, which supported by the World Bank, is divided into three lots:

Lot 1 covers 372 localities in the departments of Atacora, Donga, Alibori and Borgou.

Lot 2 covers 434 localities in the departments of Mono, Couffo du Zou and Collines.

Lot 3 covers 436 localities in the departments of the Atlantic, the Littoral, the Ouémé and the Plateau.

The estimated duration for each contract is 27 months, divided into two phases with a potential six-
month gap between them.

Interested consulting firms must have at least 10 years of experience in the energy sector, with
proven expertise in the study and control of electrical distribution network construction.

EOIs must be submitted in French and indicate the preferred lot or lots.

EOIs must be delivered to the address below in person in a sealed envelope or by email by 18 August 2023 at 10h00 GMT +1.
