
Angola invites bids for transmission project
Angola's Rede Nacional de Transporte de Electricidade is inviting bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction of the 400kV Huambo-Lubango Backbone Transmission Project.
The project is divided into three lots as follows:
Lot 1: Construction of the new 400/220/60kV Lubango substation with 2 x 450MVA transformers and associated primary and secondary equipment; extension of the 400kV Huambo substation; and expansion of the 400/220/60kV substation in Belém in Huambo, equipping a new line module at 400 kV.
Lot 2: Construction of a 176km, 400kV transmission line, from the Belém in Huambo substation to Caluquembe
Lot 3: Construction of a 168km, 400kV transmission line from Caluquembe to the future Lubango substation.
The work for each lot is expected to be completed in 26 months.
The African Development Bank is funding the project.
Proposals must be physically delivered to the address below by 10h30 on 21 November 2023.
