South Africa's First Utility-Scale BESS Site Opens

South Africa’s Eskom has officially opened the Hex battery energy storage system (BESS) at Worcester in the Western Cape.
It is the first project to be completed under the utility’s BESS project announced last year to help alleviate the pressure on the national electricity grid.
