MTN Ghana Kicks Off Construction Of ICT Hub
The project is estimated to cost US$25 million.
A virtual sod-cutting ceremony has been held to launch the construction of MTN Ghana’s US$25 million information and communications technology (ICT) hub.
The ICT hub forms part of the wider Ghana Innovation Hub project and will provide physical infrastructure covering 4,000 square metres. It will be fitted with ancillary facilities including laboratories for technology training and research, co-working spaces for start-ups, a Tier 3 data centre, conference facilities and restaurants.
The project is set for completion in about 18 months' time.
The hub aims to train 200,000 youth in ICT and digital skills and generate about 100,000 jobs within the first three years.

The Ghana Innovation Hub is a World Bank-funded project that hopes to nurture a generation of innovators in Ghana.
