Capacity Revised For Planned Bi-national Baynes Hydro Plant
The US$1.5 billion facility will now have a capacity of 878MW.
The governments of Angola and Namibia have decided to expand the capacity of the proposed Baynes hydropower project to 878MW, from the original 600MW.
Located 45km downstream from the Epupa Falls on the Cunene River on the border between Angola and Namibia, the project will now comprise an 860MW main dam
