
AfriSam Launches Digital Platform For Construction Material Orders
Cash account customers can apply for credit through the platform.
South Africa's AfriSam has launched a digital platform called ClickToGo that enables customers to order construction materials and manage their accounts online.
To use the platform, customers are required to be existing AfriSam clients, with an account facility and quotes that have been approved.
Launched in November 2021, the ClickToGo platform allows users to place orders online at any time and on any device without having to call or email the AfriSam contact centre.
The platform offers a range of features that enable customers to view accepted orders for aggregate, bag or bulk cement and ready mix, directly order from quotes, review order history, access credit information and track deliveries and collections.
Additionally, the account's designated administrator, also known as the super user, can assign different roles and permissions to employees on the platform, facilitating collaboration within organisations.
“Almost 70% of our 30-day account customers have already registered and actively use the platform,” said Ilonka de Magalhaes, AfriSam’s customer experience manager.
The firm has integrated the platform with its online payment gateway, which enables cash account customers to place orders and make payments in a single transaction. Moreover, cash account customers can apply for a credit facility through the platform. Thirty-day account customers can also request credit limit increases directly on the platform.
With its ClickToGo platform, AfriSam is hoping to set a new standard for the construction materials industry.
