The Interconnector Project aims to establish a 400kV power line between Malawi and Mozambique.
Background
Malawi faces tough challenges in power-related infrastructure, with the country suffering from a deficit in electricity supply. The country is currently implementing a load shedding program as its electricity supply cannot meet the required demand.
By contrast, the power generation potential of Mozambique is much more than it is currently producing
