New US$121m Tanzanite Bridge operational in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
The 673 metres long bridge was constructed by South Korean firm, GS Engineering and Construction Corporation (GS E&C).
The new Tanzanite bridge links Aga Khan Hospital and Coko Beach in Tanzania's capital city, Dar es Salaam. The bridge was completed and open to the public on February 1 2022.
The bridge structure has a load capacity of 180 tonnes, and is expected to carry 55,000 vehicles per day and
