KenGen Signs Ksh709m Geothermal Energy Contract with Djibouti
The Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) has signed a contract to build three geothermal wells in Djibouti.
KenGen, which has already drilled over 300 wells within the Olkaria field, will be exporting its expertise in the field through this contract.
The contract was signed with state-owned power producer and Djiboutien De Développement De lenergie Géothermique (Djiboutian Office of Geothermal Energy Development) (ODDEG), and is valued at Ksh509 million
