Eng. Malani is a professional civil engineer and the CEO of MPAMOT, South Africa’s first women-owned and led engineering and development consultancy. With over 30 years of experience in urban infrastructure and project management, she has led major public-sector projects for municipalities, Transnet, Eskom, and ACSA. Malani serves on the FIDIC Global Leadership Forum Advisory Board, representing Africa, and is a strong advocate for sustainable, inclusive infrastructure and female leadership in the built environment.

Lanre Lawale is Group Leader for Technical Specialist Services Group 3, overseeing operations across India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA). With a strong background in technical strategy and leadership, Lanre drives growth initiatives, fosters cross-regional collaboration, and champions innovation in design and sustainability. Known for building high-performing teams and strengthening client relationships, Lanre plays a pivotal role in aligning IMEA with global strategic vision, ensuring technical excellence and commercial success across diverse markets.
Dr Effie Mpakati
PANELIST
Dr Effie Mpakati Gama, a ConstructAfrica Ambassador, is a construction management professional with an architectural background and a strong interest in promoting sustainable green construction practices. She has 35 years of construction industry and academic work experience in the government and private sectors of Malawi and the UK, respectively.Dr. Effie also provides consulting services and is currently leading a project aimed at developing guidelines for certifying sustainable construction materials in Malawi. This initiative is being conducted under the Malawi Construction Industry Regulatory Authority and is funded by GIZ.
Titus Kaloki

Titus Kaloki is an urban governance expert and policy professional with over a decade of experience advancing inclusive, sustainable, and just cities across Africa. He currently leads the Just Cities programme at the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Kenya office. His work spans urban infrastructure and environmental governance, circular economy, and sustainable urbanisation, with a strong focus on citizen-centred planning, institutional reform, and multi-stakeholder engagement to strengthen accountable urban systems and resilient local governance across diverse political and socio-economic contexts globally.
Rizwan Qadri
PANELIST
Rizwan has over 38 years of experience in project and contract management, civil and structural design, multidisciplinary coordination, site supervision, and geotechnical investigations. His work spans real estate and infrastructure projects, including conceptual design, bid preparation, financial appraisal, and due diligence. He has extensive experience in rehabilitating deteriorated structures, managing multidisciplinary design teams, and designing structures for seismic forces, coastal and environmental conditions, and challenging foundation environments.
Patrick Ogunleye

Arc Patrick is a Consultant Architect with over 20 years of practical experience across diverse public and private sector projects, from inception to completion. A member of the Green Building Council of Nigeria, he is deeply passionate about sustainable development and healthy living spaces. His expertise spans sustainable architecture, project management, consultancy, supervision, and procurement. He is also committed to advocacy, coaching, and mentoring, guided by his belief that knowledge sharing is vital to sustainable human capacity development.
